We have a tradition at Ignite 360. We celebrate the holidays.
From giant cookie baking parties in industrial kitchens to inspirational ornaments and creative holiday card photoshoots. Its all fun, and we love to brainstorm about WHAT little bit of wonderfulness will we give out. In fact, according to Time Magazine, giving is the secret to happiness.
This year, we tried something different. We reached deep into what we do best, and started by asking a good question - WHY do we want to give?
Once we landed on that – the WHAT came easily.
So, WHY do we want to give?
We want to give, to make the things that are weighing heavy on everyone’s minds – a little lighter. Because, let’s be honest, its been (and continues to be) a tough year around this globe, resulting in many of us struggling to find the joy in the season.
Our WHAT this year – is a gift list that gives back. Every item does a little good towards big issues. We hope these 5 ideas bring a bit of ease to your mind, and hopefully a bit of holiday happy to everyone you love.
A gift with a hidden agenda that you can be proud of
Bring this bottle of cabernet to your next holiday party as a hostess gift – happily knowing that each bottle purchased helps fund Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism. Bottles purchased so far have supported over 3,417 hours of treatment.
A gift of peace of mind
The Earthquake Bag curates must-have emergency kits so you'll always have food, water and other essentials on hand just in case. They offer a variety of sizes for your house, your car, your office, your pets and you're going to want to buy one for everyone you love. Bonus gift – the company gives $5 of every order to Disaster Relief.
A gift for the next generation
It's time to get rid of plastic straws once and for all. Keeping a three-pack of these reusable straws in your bag is the easiest way to do that. It's also an easy way to care for the planet, as a portion of every sale is used to host localized cleanup efforts.
A gift whether you feel lucky or not
These perfect stocking stuffers are for those who don’t need any more STUFF! Each card donates to one of four charitable partners. The charitable prize is hidden until the recipient plays the game. Luckily, every card is a winner!
A gift of support and change
To Write Love On Her Arms is a nonprofit devoted to helping people who deal with depression, substance use disorders, self-injury and suicidal ideation. Every dollar you spend in its store directly supports treatment and recovery programs. Since its start in 2006, the organization has donated more than $2.1 million. One of our favorites items is “The Storm Will Pass” rain jacket. For someone you know that sometimes needs the reminder that it will do just that.
