Vice President - Sales & Growth

The Vice President – Sales & Growth will lead the organization’s sales efforts and growth strategies as well as oversee the execution of these capabilities. This person has strong experience within the consumer insights and marketing research industry as a sales leader and client accounts developer who has a history of demonstrated success in generating revenue, identifying business growth opportunities, developing strategic plans and ensuring successful completion of short and long-term development goals. Our ideal candidate is a goal-driven, forward-thinking, and results-oriented individual with the ability to lead and galvanize team members toward a shared goal.

The Vice President – Sales & Growth will be responsible for securing new client accounts as well as maintaining and growing sales with current clients. In this capacity, the Vice President of Growth will be tasked to deliver against a revenue goal while also supporting other account developers in their efforts to drive revenue for the company.

This position will report to the CEO and collaborate closely on business planning and setting marketing strategy and communications. The Vice President – Sales & Growth will have one to two direct reports (in the short term) with the potential for team growth over time and commensurate with the continued growth and profitability of the business.

The position requires approximately 30% travel to engage directly with current and potential clients, vendor partners, industry colleagues and ensemble members. We are a virtual working environment with all our employees and consultants working 100% remotely. The base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 to $170,000 + competitive quarterly performance-based bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by a variety of factors including role, level, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training. We offer work-from-home flexibility along with up to 80% coverage of medical/vision/dental benefits.

We advise and design research to answer their questions and we are experts at gaining contextual, close-to-the-consumer learning and then translating these insights to find the one big idea that propels their business forward.

What you can expect to do in this role

  • Lead generation and engagement of new, prospective clients whose business questions and insights needs align with Ignite 360 services and partnership. Activate sales with new logos.

  • Secure sales and grow a book of business with current client accounts generating at least 30% of our annual revenue target across our core / repeat and lapsed client accounts.

  • Drive and implement appropriate sales-focused infrastructure, systems, and processes to support business development efforts. Includes oversight of our CRM system (i.e., Pipedrive).

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO on the development and implementation of strategic growth plans (growth business initiatives and supporting marketing strategies).

  • Lead, coordinate and provide oversight into cross-functional teams in executing sales and growth plans.

  • Evaluate crucial analytical data and reporting related to the growth of the business and marketing campaign performance.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives focused on increasing customer loyalty and satisfaction to maintain and grow revenue. Includes leading our ongoing customer satisfaction program.

  • Support the development and release of new research, insights and marketing strategy tools and service offerings.

  • Actively participate in setting the strategic direction of the organization and in long-term planning as a member of the executive leadership team. Engage in leadership team meetings, monthly and quarterly business reviews and annual planning and goal setting.

You will also stand out if you have:

  • Experience in marketing research and brand marketing strategy sector including demonstrated success in growing sales and developing account relationships in this sector.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role in business development and/or sales.

  • Proven history of identifying growth-enabling initiatives and opportunities, preferably in the market research and consumer insights industry. Track record of meeting or beating sales goals year over year.

  • Demonstrated skill in leading and developing talent and teams.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to operate in a high-speed, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent strategic, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Master’s degree in marketing or an MBA preferred or equivalent experience.
