Sunaina is passionate about uncovering what makes people tick – their experiences, values, and motivations - and connecting that to their behaviors in the marketplace.  

She is a certified research geek – with an MBA in market research, a PhD in consumer behavior, and RIVA moderator training. Applying expert research methods to address real-world problems is her passion – whether as a clinical research coordinator developing HIV/AIDS prevention programs or while leading brand strategy and innovation insights efforts at General Mills. Just prior to joining Ignite 360, Sunaina completed her doctoral degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied how broad social change movements impact the marketplace.

What 1 piece of advice would you give to someone looking to build empathy?

Drawing on shared experiences is one of the most powerful and effective ways to develop empathy. In absence of this: be patient, don’t force it, and listen, clarify, and learn (then repeat).
